We are proud to offer the Oasis Velocity High-Field Open MRI at our Concord location—the only system of its kind in Northern California. Unlike traditional tunnel-style scanners, the Oasis Velocity combines a truly open design with high-field image quality. The result is a more spacious, less confining environment without compromising the detailed images your physician needs for an accurate diagnosis.
This advanced open MRI is especially well-suited for patients who may struggle with conventional MRI exams, including those with claustrophobia, larger body types, chronic pain, or limited mobility—while still delivering the diagnostic confidence expected from high-field imaging.
What Is an MRI?
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive exam that uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to produce highly detailed images of the body’s internal structures. MRI is commonly used to evaluate and monitor:
- Brain and spinal cord conditions
- Joint, muscle, and soft-tissue injuries
- Tumors, inflammation, infections, or internal bleeding
- Liver, kidney, and other organ diseases
MRI exams are painless, do not use radiation, and are among the safest and most informative imaging tools available today.
