Rory A. Satterfield, M.D.
 Rory A. Satterfield, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego , followed by a one year Medicine internship at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis , Missouri . He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Body & Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis . Mallinckrodt is associated with Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Childrens Hospital.
Upon completion of his training, he joined a large Bay Area Radiology group where he practiced Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology for seven years and held staff privileges at multiple Bay Area hospitals including ValleyCare, John Muir, Mt. Diablo , Eden and Alta Bates Medical Centers . He has over 16 years of experience in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology.
In August 2003 he founded InView Imaging Medical Corporation, which owns and operates InView Medical Imaging & Vein Care Center , a multimodality imaging and interventional center in Fremont , California . The center also provides teleradiology services to multiple imaging centers and hospitals in the United States and England .
Rory Satterfield is a Board Certified Radiologist as well as a Certified Public Accountant and also provides consulting services to other imaging centers.
Dr. Satterfield has over 12 years of minimally invasive surgery experience ranging from procedures like angioplasty to ultrasound guided breast biopsies. His success in treating patients with radiofrequency vein ablation is due to his skill as an interventional radiologist. Interventional radiologists are involved in the treatment as well as the diagnosis of disease. Interventional radiology offers an alternative to the surgical treatment of many conditions and can eliminate the need for hospitalization, in some cases. |
